Decided to Esquire my CV50s Tele. This includes replacing the CV60s neck that was on there, with this one piece roasted Maple neck. Also, new pickup from Tone Hatch, wired in a variation on the Eldred mod. I still need the strings though. Thought I'd do some heavy flats, and go for a Luther Perkins kind of sound.

That looks cool and I think is gonna sound cool. Neck looks beautiful! Can I ask who made it?

I got it on ebay. Apparently the brand is "US Toneworks" and it is supposed to be an MIJ neck. Obviously I haven't played it yet, but it appears to be very well made. I usually level the frets on every neck I touch, but this one just didn't seem to need it.

My wife covertly bought this MJT Candy Tangerine JM body for me for my birthday (I had casually mentioned to her that it's my most wanted color for a guitar). I had enough parts lying around to put it together, but am still waiting for some part upgrades to arrive. I've got a Chinese Fender neck with a rosewood board coming (the one currently on it is a Squier from the same factory but has an oddly thinner profile), and I've also ordered an AVRI trem unit and arm. Other than that, it's pretty complete and sounds awesome with some Sunday Handwound pickups (Tele bridge and Strat neck with JM bobbins). I'll need to dial in the setup and neck angle just a bit, but I won't do any of that until the trem is installed.

P.S. I didn't realize it, but you have to drill out the thimble holes on MJT bodies before you can fit any standard ones in there!
