No, when I am in Houston I try to source as much material as I can which I can't find here ;)
Haha, I swear I'm not a government spy or anything. My Croatian is very, very limited. I'm just a French bloke who loves to travel to Eastern Europe and has a Serbian sister-in-law. My wife and I went to Zagreb last year and I'm pretty sure I confused the hell out of everybody with my fifty-word vocabulary that I kept getting mixed up with whatever remained of my high school Russian ('Izvinitie, gdje su toaleti?') We had a lot of fun, we plan to go back at some point if travelling is ever a thing again :)

Ok here’s what came of my Fender 1000. It all works except I broke the stutter switch so I’ll have to get a replacement.

Each neck has a blend knob and a series/parallel for the two pickups. That big big switch is to switch between necks.

^ That looks great! I might have to pick up some of that polish. Also, never thought about a stutter/kill-switch for a lap steel/pedal steel, but that's a great idea!!

Thanks! Apparently steel players in the 50's would add a doorbell to their guitar to make a killswitch :D

That Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish is crazy stuff. I'd reccomend it! I think I could've made a brilliant finish with that control plate but It may have stood out too much. I feel like I got it a nice place where it fits in with the chrome parts.

It definitely looks really good!

That's funny about the doorbell. I actually bought a doorbell at my local hardware store YEARS ago, before getting a bunch of square, momentary switches from Radio Shack before they went out of business. It made sense to me, knowing how doorbells work. Plus, they are meant to live outside, so they need to be fairly sturdy electrically, so they could probably handle that kind of use.

so my plans for the telemaster xii got pushed back (the bridge i have needs to have the body altered) but i had a back up plan in case of this. i had 2 telemaster builds i wanted to do and this is one of them.

Image

i'm going to be going with a kinda dark orange colour. that neck is temporary, it's actually getting the neck and neck pickup from my bandmate's telecaster. i'm tempted to do orange over black so when the guitar wears, the black shows through.

funny thing. there's a small instagram vendor selling doorbells with starburst surrounds (atomic-era vibe). I MAY have copied their idea and found a metal starburst doorbell surround to mount a kill switch into.

Black over orange for the body would be sweet as hell. If you do, you should match the head the same way, but black over orange over black (I think that guitar needs a black headstock).

Also, a XII telemaster would be a sweet idea too

That's pretty awesome! You'll have to post some pictures when you're done!

I'd never thought about using a doorbell for that purpose, but that is an excellent idea.

This one would blend right in with Duesenberg/Göldo hardware:

(kina steep though - that's a £74 killswitch!)

But aren't doorbell switches OFF-(ON)?

nope. they're momentary switches. you might have to look for a "push to break" instead of a "push to make"

I know they are momentary, but I always pictured then as OFF and then (ON) to activate the bell sounds. I'm probably missing something, but I can't see how they can make a sound if it's ON-(OFF), and therefore not powered when the button is pressed. :derp:
