It'll be white...just wanna try to spray "pearl dust" over and clear coat it.

Pretty cool mashup of Fender designs. The alternate reality series should take note!

Thx. Although, I suspect that their R&D people spend a lot of time on this forum...

Re: What's on your workbench right now?
I’m adding shielding tape to my VM Bass VI now, in anticipation of a custom pickguard and Staytrem parts I have on order (foreshadowing). My first time shielding, bought a multimeter for this. All tape pieces show conductivity between them so far. Unfortunately the round part of the grounding part snapped off in my hands with barely any force. This was screwed into the wood through the shielding paint below the neck pickup. In my pic it kind of looks like it is still attached, but that is a shadow. The part of the grounding piece that still is attached to the wire looks like it might be crimped on rather than soldered. I’ve been avoiding soldering for a while, and will continue to avoid if I can due to lack of dedicated work space, family preference, & ventilation. Do I need a crimping/uncrimping tool or tools, or do I need to bite the bullet and solder a new grounding part? I haven’t worked on electronics before, am ignorant of what tools may or may not exist. Also need source for grounding part that won’t break with the weakest of forces.

Just cut the remnants of the old ring terminal off, strip back the wire and crimp (or solder) on a new terminal.invisible man wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 6:39 amI’m adding shielding tape to my VM Bass VI now, in anticipation of a custom pickguard and Staytrem parts I have on order (foreshadowing). Probably minimal-to-zero benefit in only shielding directly under the pickup though?

AMPS.
BF-15 combo. 2 x EL84, 15 watt amp with preamp in the 60's Fender vein. Lots of clean, lots of chime, and grit if you wanna crank it. 1x12 combo with a Jensen C12N. Added post-phase inverter master volume to keep it chill when needed:
BF-15+ combo. Really very similar amp to the one posted above but with a tip in the other direction. No master volume, but an added and switchable Rangemaster/Ballsmaster style boost to the front end. Plays the same as if you had a RM pedal or amp-top unit in front of the input, but all internal. Transistor is a Soviet MЛ38a.

Re: What's on your workbench right now?
Working on polishing up the body for my Domino Olympic (Aria 180X) copy. Color is Olympia Blue from Belton Molotow. I still need to get the decal applied, just waiting on the weather to warm up.
And a few necks at various stages of finishing with Tru Oil.
Top to bottom: 26.9375" short scale baritone, Zebrawood/Maple, this will be going on my IBM Jagstang.
25" double maple for my Performer replica.
22.5" Rosewood/Maple for the neon green Duo-sonic.
Also, trying to work up a logo, from scratch, for the Performer, that copies the style of the original.
