Nice..Had jags n duos in the past and they never got played.. slapped 25.5 necks on last 2 duos and its just great!
Duo body is longer than strat so really good match.
Stratosonic n Telesonic.

Just off my guitar mans workbench.
Our own fellow formite niksureal made the body for me last year, and it arrived on my bday.
I partnered it with the neck from my first electric guitar. Gave it to my tech to sort out a while ago and I just got it back.
I love it. Thanks Nik

I'm imagining this would look great with a 70´s style sunburst.. Is that an ebony fretboard? Lucky boy !

24" scale St. Vincent for my wife. Poplar body, roasted curly maple and ebony neck, 2 firebird pickups, 2 point strat vibrato, and locking tuners.

I'm waiting on some firebird pickup routing templates.

25" scale Performer for me. Alder body, 2 piece maple neck, lace sensors, 2 point strat vibrato, and locking tuners.

I've never seen a Performer in person, so I wasn't sure how it would feel. But it turns out that the shape is super comfortable. This is a really light piece of alder too. I still need to do the contours, but the weight is down to 3lb 5oz. I'm guessing the finished weight will be just under 7lb.

Some progress on the SD4/L-like object- some weight removal was done and the edges were loaded with epoxy:
Image
Sanded the edges level and smooth in preparation for the transparent red lacquer, and got the Formica on front and rear.
Still a way to go- clean the glue residue off the sides, soften the edges, red lacquer, paint the neck black, reinstate the cavities that are now under the Formica, and I should probably think about a neck pocket at some point.

Dang! It looks bloody great already. One of these days I'd like to see a family picture of all your cool builds :)

had some fun today de- and -re modding my old Jim Harley Les Paul, in all its glory with its plywood body, non-operational trussrod and misaligned parts.
It was set up for behind the bridge amplifying, but it never worked out as well or as useful as I would have liked, so I did the logical next silly step and added a cheap bigsby knock off. Yes, to my already least stable guitar :D

I had a set of flatwounds lying around, this guitar has never played better, quite happy with this mod ! I also tried the Joe Gore mod with a bass cut pot, which seems to be wired correctly but does nothing. At least it's pretty easy to tinker with the wiring with a Les Paul, this is why I don't mess with my Jazzmaster as much ! (kidding, I do but I'm swearing the whole time).

I'm not a big fan of stickering my guitars, but the pickup behind the bridge left an ugly hole, not structurally problematic but a nice occasion to use a sticker for a friend's cancelled 2020 festival...
