There's one at the local store that I was thinking of doing this to, sorry about the sunburst, I had to hack it together using Microsoft paint and Irfanview.

I just got my replacement jazzmaster scratchplate from fender (it only took them 5 months....) and it's on my AVRI jazz now so I have a spare JM plate hanging around. Methinks I'm gonna put a new neck (i.e. one with a headstock...) on my Jagmaster, put the pickguard on it and stick a pair of JM PU's on it :D

I had a Sonic Blue '97 Vista series Jagmaster, never liked the stock pu's though.

So I made a new pick guard and installed two AS Strat pick ups, then I tried some Jaguar pieck up, also tried a EMG. Nice guitar, but never liked the trem.
I sold it a few years ago and got a SOnic Blue Jaguar (Which I recently sold to one of y best friends, since he totally freaked on this Jag)

If anyone is interested, I still got some one ply white (yellowed) DIY pickguards for a vista Jagmaster.
-one for JAg pups (slanted, a bit like a mustang)
-a stock whte guard (to replace the rathed dull looking original guard)
-one with only a EMG sized hole at the bridge.

If anyone is intersted, you can have 'em. Just drop me a line. They are not pro jobs, but work nicely.

I'm interested to see how you filled the old trem cavity.  :)

that's a great job.

I noticed that the trem is a little closer to the bridge than on a normal JM - does this have any affect (good or bad) on the string pressure at the bridge? I would have thought that it would make things a bit more solid.
