Was checking on the parts yesterday for these builds and placed the spitfire guard on a table. I noticed it warped a tad bit from sitting unused for a while. Immediately I screwed it on to the maverick. Spitfire is so close to original fender tort that it even ages the same. There seriously isn't anything out there as good as Spitfires stuff.

Paint is done! Custom shielding plates Cooter made are in. Sticking with the squier Venus pickups for now. Maybe I’ll get some novaks down the line. Still need to get some pickguard screws, selector knob and wire it up but it’s almost done. Stoked to finally have a matching Maverick and Xii after 10 long years of building these two guitars.
