Does anyone here at OSG have a vintage mustang guard that could be traced/scanned for a template? Mine is in the shop, not sure how timely I will be able to get it.

Yes!!! I'd most definitely be in for a Mustang gold or black anodized guard, more then likely one of each! I've been on the hunt for gold guard for a long while, but yea, soon came to the conclusion it didn't exist. Or that those who offer aluminum guards weren't interested in doing a one off. I've been close to settling on a simulated ano' guard or something like a back painted or 3ply one. Not ideal though.
I'd also be very very interested in a Music Master pickguard. Both the later Bronco style as well as the original Mustang shaped one. More so the Mustang shaped version if I had to choose between the two.
As for a tracing I had good luck with this one from Terrapin.

Never made an actual pickguard from it but upon cutting the tracing out it seemed to fit my 70's Mustang well.

Great news! Do you think there's any chance you could do JM pickguards for warmoth bodies?

Totally doable, if you have a PDF or trace.
That terrapin mustang guard shape looks pretty good to me!

AVRI, MIJ & nine-hole JM (as soon as I track down an accurate drawing), laser cut from 2mm aluminium.
WIll be doing black & gold anodize.
Custom may be an option if you can provide a trace or pdf.
Will post a thread with pics soon, am just waiting to approve a sample of the brush finish from the polishers.
I'm in Australia but our dollar is rubbish plus being flat these will ship cheap.
Stay tuned!
Very cool. I've wanted a black anodized AVRI JM pickguard without the rhythm circuit. I'm a little weary of Tone Guard and Anotone never replied to my emails.

Too cool you´re able to do this.
what kind of template do you need? Warmoth has a PDF of the pickguard on their website so you can check if it fits on a particular body. It includes the pickups routes, which in the case of the bridge one in non standard I believe, but not the switches. Would that be enough?
http://www.warmoth.com/Pickguard/PDFs/J ... kguard.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I´m also considering ordering another pickguard for a Jaguar but wihtout the holes for the bridge posts, (it´s 25´5" scale). Would that also be possible?

Just print it out and check that it fits.
Pretty sure the warmoth PDFs are incomplete?
You'd need to add in the he's, etc you need an rescan

ken
Are you sure Eden's are? My Plain anodized aluminum guards from them have definitely been brushed aluminum and I assume that the black ones would be as well.

I've never seen an anodized or simulated black Eden pickguard. They only have gold and bare aluminum.

I know Edan used to offer a "Cyan" anodized guard, kind of blue/turquoise color. They haven't done those in a while though. Stopped as soon as I got a body I thought it would look good on
hah.

OMG !
I have a JM that is sort of the Ventures model. A black Ano pickguard would be awesome on it...
