My Starcaster body arrived from Aliexpress.
It's amazing quality. The design is spot on.
I ordered the light blue one. It's really really light blue, like the first run of vm squier jazzmasters.
I don't mind though.
I bought it to fit the Squier affinity starcaster neck I bought. But because of the extra 22nd fret, it doesn't look
like it will intonate unless I put a regular 21 fret strat type neck on it.

So I may have to route the neck pocket further in by almost 1cm. This could be risky.
Also, I am not a Tom Delonge fan at all, so i wont be doing anything Blink 182 related to it.

I didn't think I'd be making another one of these.
But a dude in Istanbul asked me to build this.
He suggested some changes to the design. The upper left horn being longer.

I've pretty much finished putting together this Aliexpress Starcaster.
I carefully routed the neck pocket 6.5mm closer inward to accommodate the 22nd fret of the neck
as these bodies are made for standard strat necks.
It was pretty delicate process and I didn't completely screw it up!

Overall, the guitar is kinda plain, so I think I might eventually pimp it out.

Also, for anyone considering ordering one, bear in mind the blue is very pale. Much like the first run VMJM's.
They offer a darker version, so I'd probably go for that if I were to buy another.

It's frequently the little details that make it for me. The 6 linear holes on the Descendant really adds to the aesthetic for some reason!

It really adds to the whole art-deco vibe of the design.

Had some decent weather here in melbs, the last 2 days. So I got to finish the neck.
It's transparent red but it turned out more opaque than expected.
