Okay, maybe not every model!  ;D ;D

I just know that if I sold my $trat, I'd be looking at AVRI 62's...And I don't want to spend that kind of money on a $trat.

I have this one http://images.musicstore.de/images/GALL ... ges400.jpg
love it so much  :-*
i don't tink it's small, it's really comfortable, i prefer it to my strat copy ( peace of garbage has i like to call it...), after i buy a jag/jm i will probably buy a standard telecaster

Heheh. When I saw "Der Himmel Über Berlin" I first saw Rowland S Howard play a jaguar (as mentioned in another thread). At the time, I had no idea what that guitar was called (didn't find that out until seeing some up close at an MBV concert later). So one day my local guitar shop advertises having a second-hand katana. I thought "hey, a Fender that's not a tele or a strat...that MUST be the model RS Howard plays!" Imagine my surprise and disgust when I went to check it out....

I've never owned a tele, but when I was scoping out shops for my AVRI jazzmaster, I had a chance to A/B a 62 AVRI Tele against a 62 AVRI JM.  I thought the JM bridge pup had some very "tele-like" characteristics.  The double bound tele is the mutt's nuts in the looks department, but my tele GAS is typically abated by a few strums on my JM.

Is that wierd?  I mean, does anyone else think there are comparable characteristics between the Tele and JM bridge pups?

That was off-topic.  Yeah, buy a strat.  Maybe not that one.  This is coming from a guy who is trying to sell one or both of his to get a Thinskin JM.

I KNOW if I deal both of them, I will get another strat...  But I've prepared myself mentally for a strat-less period if required to get a special edition JM in Fiesta Red with matching headstock... Ideally, I'll hang on to one of the strats and the RE501 will help close the gap...

I've also noticed Tele-Like Qualities in Jazzmaster bridge pickups.  Not quite as punchy, but similar.
