Which means it was used on Public Image *and* In Utero. Had Gibson P90s for a bit but now back to stock. The Levene Wedge was at EA too but was sold, I believe Vincent Gallo has it now. Both guitars were sold by Levene to Chelsea Guitars in NYC in the 80s.

Maybe she'll donate some to a suicide prevention charity. That would be nice.

Bizarre that a vox that had a D chord strummed on it is going for £80,000 yet John McGeoch's yamaha SG sold for just over a grand a few years back.

She was gifted the guitar. And it sold for double the estimated value. Like I said, it would be a nice gesture considering her father's legacy.sumlin wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 6:43 amOr, maybe, just use the money to make her own life easier and better having lost her father?johnnysomersett wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 11:37 amMaybe she'll donate some to a suicide prevention charity. But, I'm sure she'll just buy a bigger house and a fancy car or whatever and be done with it because, well, humans are like that on the whole.

I know your intentions are from a good place and it really would be nice if she did that of her own volition, but I don't think any of us is any place to make that kind of call and judgement. Setting that expectation and playing the "well, you could've done that better!" game gets ugly.johnnysomersett wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 10:22 amShe was gifted the guitar. Oh, of course. It was just something that popped in my head as a 'id like that to happen' moment. You know what I mean?parry wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 10:29 amI know your intentions are from a good place and it really would be nice if she did that of her own volition, but I don't think any of us is any place to make that kind of call and judgement. It can't be easy to lose a parent and it must be a difficult life as a result. I also expect it's quite hard for her to live in the internet age and avoid discussions about her father or - worse still - herself. It must be impossible to avoid the ghost of her father everywhere she goes. Hell, she might even stumble on this thread if she's at a low ebb and trawling Google. I hope she doesn't.johnnysomersett wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 10:22 amShe was gifted the guitar. And it sold for double the estimated value.
