What guitar is Sting playing in this video?

For guitars of the straight waisted variety (or reverse offset).

Looks like a martin to me, some sort of OOO 12 fret model with the torch headstock inlay. Probably a 40-something series.

Agreed. It’s not the vintage model he normally plays (he has 2 1916 Martin ‘Ditson’ models), but this looks like a Custom Shop 000 sized 12-fret to me.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

My friend has that model and while I’m no fan of EC, it’s pretty spectacular.

That's some new type of baliset that I've never seen Feyd-Rautha play before

These days it’s so hard to say, but there are a couple on Reverb that are in the lower side of the spectrum right now that seem reasonably priced. The one you linked is one of them. Clearly they hold their value and have stayed pretty consistent since the mid-90s.

Looking at the sold listings on Reverb they seem to all be in that $2600-$4000 range, so I think this is in line with that.

I can see the EC not only holding its value but appreciating.

But what if it already needs a neck reset? It's already an oldie. Fuck i think in my entire life i have only played one acoustic that i felt it did not need a neck reset...

It was a reallu nice looking higher end Degas if there's such a thing. I should have bought it. The person wanted $600 for it, i was there to see a 2x12 cabinet and didn't want to spend the extra money that day.. I still regret it.

A friend of mine has that one too. He calls it ”The little Grand Piano” because it sounds huge.
