Woodtech (the seller on reverb who made my Catalpa Jazzmaster body) offers custom build options through their website. I decided to try to build a weird double cut monster. Basically I want a full scale double cut junior body shape with contours added and a Jazzy tremolo and bridge. I will need to figure out a pickguard and back plate, but it will look similar to this mock up. (But with contours.) It will be made out of Ash. I plan on using some sort of dye on the body and finally having something to put that red humbucker in.

I’ll be watching this! Always wanted to build something like this with an offset vibrato.

I build guitars as a way to relax and manage stress. (I also enjoy it.)

I have a bunch. I do sell them sometimes and trade them.

I am an overthinker so having something to focus on helps me relax. I also like coming up with themes and ideas of something I think would be cool to make for one reason or another. It is fun to see an idea come to life.

Thanks! I might try to adjust the belly cut. It is a little uneven in one part that you only see when looking at it from the side. I like a consistent thickness and will probably break out the palm sander to adjust it a bit.

I am also waiting on dye to come in.

I also want to square off the tremolo rout in the bottom with a chisel.

That is sexy!! I still think about the DCLP/Jag hybrid you had/made years ago, all the time

You should make a whole series of DCLP hybrids
