NGD: my Thinline TV-Gazer parts build lives!

Post by F15hface » Fri Apr 04, 2025 11:27 am

A fair while ago Copacetic unveiled Booberry Burst and I was instantly taken. With a fascination for that finish and an increasing appreciation for 72 style thinline telecasters, I placed an order and plotted. The outcome, after months of slowly acquiring parts and then getting someone who knows how to use a router, is this:

Creamery WRHBs, harmony style knobs, a Mexican nitro finished fender neck, and of course a Rosser body finished in Booberry. It’s light, it’s gorgeous, and it sings. It’s definitely the honeymoon phase as I picked it up 4 hours ago, but everyone that’s received crappy phone videos of it agrees that it looks and sounds fantastic.

This turned out so sick! Thanks for letting me be a part of it. The brown cupcake knobs are classy as hell and the red switch tip is super rad 8)

I’m so happy with it, the job you did on the finish is incredible. Better than 10k Gibson customs that are meant to be NOS.

I kind of just bought bits I thought looked cool without much thought to cohesion, so very happy with how good the harmony knobs and red switch look on it. I have a brown couch cat strap on it, with blue/red/yellow cats which goes with them really well.

This looks amazing -- congrats! Where did you get the knobs and switch from?

Thank you! Switch tip is from AxLabs Guitar Hardware on reverb, who are based in Florida. The knobs were from adpguitarparts on eBay, based in France.

Even prettier in the sun:

Image

Even if it’s easier to see dust. Massively loving the guitar still. It’s just performed incredibly in 10 hours of band practice over the long weekend, I anticipated liking WRHBs but this has blown me away with how good each position is.

Image

It’s also starting to pick up dents and dinks on the back. Astonishing how thin the finish is, the total finish seems as thin as the colour coat on my AV65 Jag, half the thickness of my Gibsons.

Just love it.
