Silvertone Jupiter

Post by BenHagerty » Tue Jul 01, 2008 11:39 am

I was walking around an antique store today and I saw one in the corner. Was missing all of the knobs (you could still turn them) and was missing the high e string but I really liked it. It was 250, I think I am going to go back with a cable and plug it into the cheap peavey amp that was next to it. If it works, I am buying it.

Offer them 200 or less.

Those DeArmond pickups are awesome!  I've got a Silvertone/Harmony Bobcat with 'em and they are one of my favorite sounds in the world.

Here's the Bobcat in use.

Update, I found a Harmony from I think the 70s today for 95 dollars. I think I am going to go back and get it once I get my paycheck.

Not sure what it was, the body was really small, felt like a childs guitar, but had a nice vintage sunburst.

Fun stuff. I've found my best Neil-like sounds come from my Danelectro's bridge p/u. What kind of amp/pedals were you using?

That was Logic Pro's Guitar Amp Pro plugin, actually.  I was delightfully surprised.
