So would it be worth upgrading all the wiring or should I leave it stock? I hate tearing out vintage original parts but in this case, if it improves the guitar fairly dramatically I think it might be worthwhile. Also, more good news from the seller... "it does have a case but it's an old one and looks to be the original."
yeah the case in the auction pics looks like an original hagström case
i don't think it's
necessary to replace any of the electronics unless something's broken, but i suspect there might be a noticable improvement if you did (the pots anyway). but i think it's more a realiability issue than anything else. i had problems with loose wires a couple of times with one of mine. but on the other hand, if the guitar has survived this far without any issues it's probably best to just leave it alone.

I posted about that guitar awhile back actually. I think it's really cool but of course you can't buy that one. Its only purpose is to tease you into ordering one of their ridiculously overpriced customs using their convoluted build it yourself tool.

That's funny. I was soooo focused on the guitar I never even noticed the one of it sitting in the case.
I know from the description the kill switch doesn't work so I'll have to look into that for sure but hopefully the rest of the parts are in good working order since I would rather just leave them of course.

They're 24.75 like most Gibsons. I don't mind that scale at all actually and I would call it medium as opposed to short. I think 24" would be short.

Yup, those are very nice guitars. I only have an old H II body, without any hardware, put a JM trem on it, JM pu's, JM neck....etc...very good sounding guitar.
It's now waiting for a refin in Sonic Blue (was the original colour of this Hagström)
I read the Black ones are pretty rare....Also they have the fastest necks ever made....to bad the guy I bought the body from didn't had a neck....

yeah, zero radius and their special H shaped truss rod enables you to have super low action without any fret buzz.

Arrived today and it's actually in better shape then even I expected. Almost zero fret wear and with the original case in good shape though I'll need to stick down a bit of tolex. Only issues seem to be a pretty crappy nut that's a bit dead on the A and G string and I'll need to set it up a bit. The action is really high. I don't like mine low but this is too much. It also needs 11s on it. I'll have pics later this weekend.
