I love my strat and I think its a good guitar to have...I evolved from twang to thicker tones...although playing jazz on my strat is a special thrill.

That's funny...There was a guy on Ebay selling NOS Tele switches from the 60's and in the description he said that because of the spring on the switch you can get some reverb sounds if your pickup is microphonic enough. He said he has a bootleg tape of Roy Buchanon and you can hear this effect from Nancy between song breaks. :-\

Speaking of Strats check this out! I'm gonna jam with this real old guy (65) and he's got this '57 (the neck date is may 57) strat he bought used in 1959 for $250...Freaking crazy, he said it's 95% original, the bridge PUP was stolen when he had it repaired in the 80's and the nut has been replaced and the pickguard too(but he has the original)...I can't wait to play this thing finally I'll sound just like EC!
