i'm of the mindset that instruments are meant to be played and enjoyed but i understand where you're coming from man. something like that could probably be sold for what some people make in a year and that's enough to scare anyone into not using it. i mean do you really want to be the person who reduces the number of 56 les paul customs by 1? nah, that would scare me.
it's a shame because i remember you saying in one of our back and forths that it was really what you wanted in a les paul.

I'm glad you did too!
Haha! I'll only allocate a small chunk for a potential purchase if I get enough to warrant it. My GAS is pretty low right now though in all honesty.
The whole situation has been kinda wild, and it's definitely weighed heavy on me. And you're correct, it's everything I could want for in a Les Paul - apart from the fact I can't comfortably take it out the damn houses_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 3:41 pmi'm of the mindset that instruments are meant to be played and enjoyed but i understand where you're coming from man. something like that could probably be sold for what some people make in a year and that's enough to scare anyone into not using it. i mean do you really want to be the person who reduces the number of 56 les paul customs by 1? nah, that would scare me.

I've already separated myself from it in my head, I'm comfortable with my decision.

In this day of reliced reissues no one will know the better if you pulled that out live. Just keep an eye on that case when you’re sitting up at the bar!

The last time I was gigging (which is sadly YEARS ago) I had my wife stay with my guitars if I stepped away from them. Nobody messes with a half-Ukranian, half-Estonian that I lovingly call The Beast From the East™ unless they want to get tossed through a wall.

Thanks Yannis. I've already made peace with the sale. Now it's time to rip the plaster off and move on.

No white gloves and it was photographed outside, you’ll scare the target audience off.

We make these jokes. But it’s us who are buying & selling all these vintage Gibson & Fender guitars…
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

never dealt with anything close to this value but i think that past a certain price point they can stop being guitars and become Objects of Interest. i certainly feel that way a little bit about my most valuable stuffs. i guess we're into the territory of the "too many guitars" thread when talking utility versus sentimentality. either way a very cool thing to have had through your hands for any amount of time.

Re: I'm back... 56 Les Paul Custom
I had a potential sale yesterday. The guy who bought my 67 CAR Jag and 73 SB JM was keen. Said he'd sleep on it (fair)
Today he offered me 11k. Well. No.
