Dammit 2024 was the year of the Tele... now i have
Johnny's Frankencaster, 3 Tele Customs (TermiteCaster, one with a scalopped neck, DiscoCaster with the 80s laser spray paintjob), the (ex-)LeatherCaster Deluxe, an all stock 80s Squier SQ one, and the white MIM my dad gave me. That one i used for a couple gigs and i can only swear my amazement for the Häussel BigMag bridge pickup! Yes i was influenced by the band Whores... but I think I'll be installing more of these on the others, too... :-*
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

Soooo dreamy. I once went to pick a guitar cab up from a seller on FB marketplace and the dude had this awesome thinline that’d been refinished.

Talk about dreamy! That's gorgeous! The thought popped in my head one night about a black thin line just like this and I've been scheming ever since. I particularly like the ash grain poking through the finish.

If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

Is that an open pickup cover with a dark tort inlay on that OTM Tele? That looks sweet!

No, it’s just a regular black plate. Tort would be pretty sweet.

Gotcha. I love the look of it. I had been considering something like this (sans exposed pole pieces; this is a Strat pickup):

Just realised my sunburst tele is 18 years old this year.
I always said this was gonna be the guitar I’d keep until I’m an ancient old man.
Image
I’ve changed a lot on it over the years, but I’ve never changed the pickups which is very odd for me.

He told me it was originally black, but the previous owner had striped it, so he finished black again but didn’t do any grain fill. I’ve been GASing for this tele ever since.

It’s pretty excellent actually, Wilkinson pickups and a few other good quality bits. Weighs a ton. I need the control plate for something else and I have a Custom pickguard spare …
