I have a 3TSB squier jazz that i absolutely adore. Even after playing many more expensive basses, this one is still my favourite.

I really, really love the way the Fender short-scale basses play (Mustang, Musicmaster, Squier Bronco even) but I'd want more trad p-bass or jazz bass pickups in one.

I think Squier basses are an incredible deal - they're way better than most comparable Squier guitars.  Has anyone tried one of the Vintage Modified P or Jazz Basses?  They are sweet.

one of the guys in the band we share practice space with has the vintage modified p-bass. it´s really nice, but it doesn´t come close to my "vintage" one.

most of the bassists I've played with had either a Stingray or a Jazz Bass...both sound great...guess thats why they only ever had the one.

For many years I played and owned only one bass, a '71 Precision.  I had a Fender Bullet (34" scale verion) for a bit, but found the neck too chunky for my small hands.  Along with the Precision, I now have a Fender Coronado Wildwood Bass II and also a Fender Performer (both parts basses).
