He also got a law degree from the university I work at, I also think he recorded the Velvet Underground playing at the university also.
Edit: here you go- he recorded a version of Sister Ray/Foggy Notion at the university I work for.

Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Its funny how finicky we can get.
Not a fan of sunburst on solid body guitars but think it is the natural colour for semi-hollow and hollow body gibson -style guitars used for jazz.
I had a similiar thing happen with black.

I like it, what is it?Horsefeather wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 12:00 amI have come to love sunburst! I'm considering this pretty wacky color combo. I've shown it to only one other person and she didn't like it at all and said she was surprised I did. Does anyone here think this looks cool?

I am very jealous of that pedal steel.

I like the French Polish look that Gibson uses a lot on the hollow and semi-hollow guitars, some Gretsch get that look right as well, and Rickenbacker’s Fireglow, if that counts as sunburst.
The other Gibson bursts that they use on Les Pauls, like the Cherry burst, I don’t care for much, probably one reason I never cared for Les Pauls. I’d be okay with one of the faded ones like Honey Burst or Heritage Burst, or whatever the call those, but I would probably just go Gold Top if I wanted a Les Paul.
I am not a fan of Fender’s Target Burst at all. It reminds me of 1970s Sears catalog guitars.
Not a sunburst, but I think I would prefer that Green and Black burst on old Greco guitars or a Marlin burst over any of the Fender sunbursts. My 1962 Jaguar is a chipped up and faded sunburst. Most of the red is gone. I love the sound of it, but I don’t sit and look at it, because I usually start to think how much better looking it would be in a custom color.

As long as it's the right kind of sunburst?
Yes, you clowns!
Pop is the most wonderful music – as long as it's played with three basses, a string section, and two french horns going "Vroop-Vrooo".

It's a design I've been toying with that's a reworked strat shape (rounder butt, shallower horns..) with a custom vibrato that is an evolution of the Mustang/JM hybrid I made in real life. This is a rendering of a digital model. I've yet to build it (or any other guitar) in real life.mgeek wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 11:28 pmI like it, what is it?Horsefeather wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 12:00 amI have come to love sunburst!
