Ask Zac on hardware and tone.

There's a lot of great info in that video.

I have never upgraded my Telecaster. I have made a few lateral bridge swaps but always went back to the normal "vintage" 3-saddle style. I have not changed it in years. But find what works for you!

I swapped mine for the Mastery tele bridge and I dig it.

I used to have a 6-saddle (american series) bridge, now I have a €30 classic ashtray bridge with 3 brass saddles by Wilkinson. Both bridges intonate fine, I've had no issues with the 3-saddle one at all. The only difference I can find, besides looking better (imo), is that the old-fashioned one sounds noticeably better. I don't know why, but with the 6-saddle bridge it sounds duller/deader.

I bought a six saddle Gotoh bridge and I am very happy with it. I think it sounds good and there are minimal protrusions to annoy my strumming hand.
