I just sent off payment for a new guitar. It'll be a while before it arrives, but I just have to tell someone about it. I'm incredibly excited, more so than I've been about a new guitar in years - decades, even.
How about we play ye olde guessing game? First hint - it is

Colder, except this particular instrument shares a sense of national origin with the autoharp.

Surprisingly, this instrument wasn't terribly expensive, but I think you've gotten as close as I could ask anyone to get. Reveal incoming...
