marqueemoon,
I'm blaming you for this! I found out about Singing Crane straps from a post of yours in the GAS thread. Look what showed up from Japan today to go with my OM1:

The origami crane and thank you note were nice, but the fancy paper and grass-twine really sealed the deal on the presentation here. Oh, the strap is super-nice, too!

Might as well go all out. I’ve yet to take the plunge myself.

Sorry about that! ;D Yeah, I didn’t even know about this kind of strap until I searched “straps” in OSG because I was looking for something cool and figured that the people on this forum would be more likely to share aesthetic sensibilities. The second I saw that post, I was like “Oh no! That looks awesome! I’ll bet it costs more than I want to spend!”
As for the guitar, that was the result of a much longer search that took me into a vortex of YouTube videos and guitar builder websites. Sadly, I only actually went to two guitar shops because of A) the pandemic and B) the fact that we don’t really have a lot of cool shops in the DC/Baltimore region. I mean, I love Action Music and Atomic Music, but they only have in stock whatever they happen to have and the pandemic has definitely messed with manufacturing and the availability of certain items.
