I just got a vintage tele off reddit that's weirdly similar, except it has humbuckers. 67 tele body and pots, patent sticker humbuckers, and a 1961 strat or Jazzmaster neck. I can't wait to play it, ive loved the OG Franken-tele for years

The neck is incredibly narrow/thin feeling, I'd suspect it'd be an A-width, but did they even do those in '59/'60?!
old post but yes. My very first JM was from January 1960 and it had a slightly smaller than 1 5/8" nut width. It was probably 40mm wide. It's why I eventually sold it. Later on I got a '63 and the nut width was a B and much more playable. I should've kept that guitar :fp:
