I have never really been a stickers on guitar guy, but i decided to add some to my stratocaster. There's some obvious inspiration from a black jaguar Johnny Marr played in his Modest Mouse days.
I'm on the fence with how my strat turned out. I like it, but i think my past philosophy of keeping my guitars sticker free is a constant voice in my brain telling me to take the stickers off.

Leave them on, they work really well.

I like it. I'm not sure if it wouldn't be better without the green leaves.
I have a few guitars with some small Charley Harper leaf stickers hidden on the back . They make me smile.

Does adhesive vinyl cut on a Cricut count as a sticker?

This is a Gordon Smith GS1 60 that I named "Maiko-chan"
I bought the guitar in February 2020. This is one of the only times I'll admit to what one might call "Retail Therapy" - my mother was in hospital, having been diagnosed with cancer. In one of the last conversations I had with her, I mentioned the shop I saw this in was having a closing down sale 20% off. She actually said I should get it. A few days later she passed away.
A few weeks later I was on holiday in Japan (a holiday that went from a thing I wanted to something I needed. For context, I got home just as the UK was going into lockdown in late march). While in Kyoto I saw a Maiko show, a Maiko being the term for a trainee Geisha. Next day I was in some souvenir shop and bought a load of stickers including this one. So I decided to combine two bright spots (I love the guitar, and Japan is a beautiful country) in what was a really shitty time in me life, even without a global pandemic.
Thought the name fit, seeing as the guitar is very much a Junior-style thing, too.

My most coheseive sticker job thus far:
This one's subtle but I like it:
Less subtle but still understated:

It's a very old mod for offsets, I think pioneered by Sonic Youth (could be wrong), to amplify the sympathetic string resonance and playing behind the bridge. Usually it's just flipped on/off with an extra switch.

Here's my stickered Partsmaster. I finished this with a spray can without knowing what I was doing. The stickers on the body are mainly there to hide the spots where I really messed up
That looks really good for a spray can job!

It sure looks good from a distance, not so much from close by. I missed a few spots around the pickguard and ruined some others where the paint started dripping (hid those with the stickers).
The colour is really nice though. I only gave it a very thin layer of nitro and didn't polish it, so it's like a matte metallic finish. Non of this was planned, but it turned out cool
