Epiphone Elitist Riviera for €1500 - should I buy it
This is a 2004 model in the cherry finish, seems like it's in fine shape on the wall at a shop in Paris. Mini buckers, frequensator, the standard elitist riviera setup.
This guitar has always been on my list and they pretty much never show up for sale, 1500 seems pretty good these days, right ? Especially from a shop ?
I would be stupid not to buy this guitar ?

Have no clue how these sell for, but it sounds like you really like this guitar so why not?
Personally I have been tempted by the new royal tan reissues but I am trying to resist as I am waiting for the Dave Grohl ES to be released.
Been always a Trini Lopez ES fan but these are really out of my price range.
The Elitist model is made in japan?

Yes, made in Japan in the Terada factory I believe - Elitist Casinos were made from 2002-2019 and are pretty easy to find and they still go for like 2k minimum, Rivieras apparently only made until 2006 and pop up very rarely so I am thinking 1500 is a preeeettty decent price esp at a shop...

considering the current I'd say yes, not a bad price. Also, the Elitist are supposed to be very close to vintage ones, and quite rare

Yes, it's a solid deal and those Elitists (dumb name, they used to be the Elite) are good guitars.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

The built by Terada JPN Elitist/Elite Epis are pretty great, a notch above the current available models. Terada guitars have been built with high quality standards just like the current Gretsches.
Around 2010 I played quite a few gigs with the exact same Elitist Riviera, I even found the rare 12-string version. I also had a natural Elitist Casino.
Kinda funny: I bought both Rivieras new and remember I paid € 1699 for the 6 and € 999 for the XII, heavily discounted because of lack of interest

Oh man if I could find an Elitist Riviera 12...
Anyway, update: I bought it but can't figure out how to post a picture of it.

Upload the picture to Imgur.
When it loads right click it and click "Copy Image address"
Come back here and post the link.
A box will pop up that says "Link" with a dot next to it, and then "Image" with a dot next to it.
Should post then.
