NGD: Ormsby Hype GTR 7 String

Post by BlixaFan » Fri Dec 29, 2023 8:36 am

i sold my telecaster and had some money lying around. i've always wanted a 7 string, since I was in junior high... and now a few decades later, it's finally happened! got this b-stock 7 string Ormsby.
it is UNREAL. the neck is different than what I am used to, but I played it for an hour yesterday and it feels great.
the pickups are an excellent balanced set, and they actually sound very nice clean! that was probably the biggest surprise.
it came in a very very nice deluxe gig bag

the quality of this thing is next level. I couldn't tell you why it was a b-stock model, because I cant find a thing on it. the finish is perfect, the setup is perfect, the frets are perfect. i think that really attests to how good the QC is at Ormsby prior to shipping.

I didn't know how i'd like the multiscale, but i forgot about it in the first 15 minutes. the feel of the string tension with a multiscale is very cool...

this is probably the most modern guitar i have, and quality wise is on par with my best Japanese guitars. HIGHLY recommended

thanks! yeah it's probably the best quality out of the box that i've ever had.
absolutely no regrets about selling the telecaster that i replaced with this. the tele was a fantastic guitar, but i never played it... this is getting significantly more playing already!
i gotta say I am really liking the multiscale. it feels great
