Here's a review of some Acoustisonic thing or other I think this one is supposed to be a Telecaster or something

For guitars of the straight waisted variety (or reverse offset).

Mules aren't sterile, not all of them anyway, but it is rare for them to reproduce.

Glad to see that this topic has remained civil for more than 1 day, and hasn't even been locked yet! Must be a record for Acoustasonic threads so far.

I think the strat and tele version look weird, but I kinda like the look of the acoustasonic jazzmasters, especially in black of pink. This video by Paul Davids made me gas for one for a while: https://youtu.be/3Ksv2KzCfrA?si=PG76Ql_d27a5jpGP

But all in all I think they're too expensive for what they are. I'd be interested if they release a decent budget version.

I've always hated them.

Buuut, about two years ago I was at a gig and the guitarist had one (gig was an electropoppish sort of two-piece, one guitarist singer, one laptopist singer. Good show!) and he sounded brilliant.

I was fucking seething.

I have that installed in a Guild I have, I won't take it out. I don't really know what it sounds like but it doesn't impede the sound like the under saddle pickups do.

Hey, you bought like six Gibson guitars for a good price a while back. A J-35, that still around?
I put the J-35 up for sale over on the AGF but not a ton of interest so far. Maybe $1300 is asking too much? For now keeping the J15 and am planning to have it do double duty as a Nashville-tuned guitar when needed. I think.

By the way I wonder how these Fender things would compare to the old Godin Acousticaster. I always kind of liked those, actually.

Aesthetically this is much better to me, but still a no. Weirdly I like those Chet Atkins nylon string things though.

I'd say $1300 is on the lower end of what a J-35 would sell for these days. I bet if you went on Reverb you'd find that was the lowest price.

I'd buy it but the transmission went out and I'm wondering if I even want to buy another car or what.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Yeah i think this video is a bit off. It's for live performances only IMO. That said, I didn't mind the way it recorded. His extremely ugly CS tele didn't exactly sound better thru my studio monitors. Either way, the video will give his channel lots of traffic so it was smart of him to do it I guess?

Also, I didn't know that Jason Mays IG jazzmaster guy worked at Guitar Center haha.
