I have a feeling something is going to blow your mind on here in the near future…

Also, OP: buy a tele! I’m back down to 1 Tele. Not sure that’s enough Telecaster in my life.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Yeah, alas, very similar position here, both Teles and totals, but it’s a year of actually playing stuff and selling the excess for me. I swear.

Crazy...Ive got a Martin 00C15 made in 2000, I bought it new..its done tons of gigs. I still gig it today..never worried about storing it ,moisture, heat etc..I treat the same as a solid body and in all these years its barely moved from it original set up..its been a totally stable guitar.

I mean honestly if you just got another 00-18 sent out it would probably be fine.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

This is expensive for what it is, and having it shipped from Australia would be kind of terrifying, but I have one of these New Hartford Guild F-30s and it is an amazing guitar. It's an OM size guitar and not a 00, but I'm throwing it out there.

Guild is always great, but when they were in New Hartford they were competing on offering more for the money, so this one will have an Adirondack top to outclass Martin's Sitka, and this particular one is nicer than the "standard" F-30 it's the "Aragon". Calling an F-30 "Aragon" almost always means a higher grade guitar, in this case it has a three piece neck, the Adirondack, and some tortoise binding that Guild thought was better. I think it's kind of ugly but who cares.

The Auden Julia is a very nice 00 sized guitar and as it’s made in the UK they seem less likely to claim that UK humidity is untenable for an acoustic.

Just catching up on this! Guitar was collected today.

In terms of a Telecaster, I had 3. Then I discovered the Jazzmaster and sold them all ;D So that itch has definitely been scratched.

As for what I do next, I bought the acoustic to mark turning 40 and with the goal of learning some new playing styles and having something different sonically, so I remain keen for that.

That said, with all the stress of having a nearly £3k acoustic under my belt, I'd probably lower my horizons a little and with the money I'd save, upgrade a few bits on my pedalboard to make gigging a little easier.

And in the back of my mind is still a Competition Mustang (have been hammering the Wanted thread for two years now!) and binning all the above off. Played a '73 yesterday and it was a lot of fun.

To me, Guild and Larrivee are where you can really get tremendous value for the money, and they say Yamaha is as well but I don't personally know.

Sometimes Gibson is- I've got a lot of Gibsons I spent around $1k on and they are tremendous guitars, Gibson makes a lot of classics like the J-45 that have high resale value but a lot of lesser known guitars that don't. Like I got a J-15 for $850 because the market didn't quite know what they were, if that was the only acoustic I ever had I would be well set up.

So yeah, spend 1500 on a used acoustic is what I would recommend.

So pleased it's all been resolved for you. Sorry about the guitar, but at least all is resolved.

What's next on the horizon for you then?

Hey that's awesome.
