My local shop has one and it's kind of dull in person.  The finish is too opaque, IMO.

While I have a personal fetish for thinline teles, I don't like the 72's for some reason. The action is  :k on most necks I've played on (no gloss finish on the neck like the 69s) and the humbuckers are double  :-X. Staying true to single coils.. thats what its all about for teles. Once I save up enough money with a full time job after school, I KNOW I will be getting this:

It looks just like the tele thinline I played last week in a shop. I wanted to take it home but I didn't have enough money. The neck was comfortable,  it sounded great and I like blonde with a black pg. I'm not really sure it's the same though, but it looks the same.

I hate the wood look on my Thinline... in fact their is a musician swap meet and im going to see if I can maybe trade it for a Jazzmaster somewhere, and then buy a Sunburst Thinline. But after seeing this I might try to aim for one of these...
Make like a tree... and fuck off.

I used to think those Blade Thinline copies were pretty cool, they seem to have stopped making them.
