Saw one of these today. Anyone ever tried one?

Re: Fernandes Vertigo
I love Vertigos, except that one ugly model.
The one with the blueburst is amasing...

Re: Fernandes Vertigo
There was a model with mini-hums, MOP pickguard, and a Gibson-ey clear mahogany finish.
Looked like a Firebird and a lefty Explorer had a quick fiddle in the bushes. Definitely on my "I see it, I'll buy it" list.

The wooden one was the one I saw today. Worth buying then you think? At first glance I did think it was a Firebird offshoot.
It does look tacky in the black. Looked great in wood though.

If the price is right (which might be hard to explain to me, since the $ is worth about 22 pence these days), and you need a mini-hum guitar, do it.
Japanese Fernandes guitars can go toe-to-toe with anything out of America, and are silly, silly cheap. One of the few remaining steals left in the vintage market.

Re: Fernandes Vertigo
Hmm not so sure about the looks but if it sounds good looks don't really matter, but I LOVE Fernandes guitars. I've a Bound Tele Custom with David White pu's (with fender headstock not the beaky later one) a Jazz bass clone (ditto) and most importantly a JM shaped Decade with three David White rewound singles and a sustainer which is utterly fantastic.
A vertigo with P90's might be cool though, the body reminds me of a 50's coffee table.
