Re: OMGZ! CUstom shop!
the CS strat I have does truly play like butter .... what ever that means.
there is nothing I can think of which will make the strat play better ... it is just set up perfectly, weighted and weighs perfectly, neck is perfect, tonality of the pups is perfect, fit & finish cannot be faulted..... and this is just a team built guitar.
the fender CS does make some damn fine instruments ... but you do have to pay for them

relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

Well, I played it. Pretty nice guitar, the best part was that the action was PERFECT. But it seemd like if you got a high end japanese or US model with none of the "occasional issues" that one either avoids or deals with (fret sprout, cracked neck pocket, etc) you'd be better off, especially in the pocketbook.

And Fender goes to great lengths to ensure that this amount increases and increases. And each year, the number of "top" models shifts away from American Series and American Deluxe Series and into Custom Shop land...sookwinder wrote:

I self-edited. I had a spin of an old Churchill joke that seemed really funny when I posted it (after a few glasses of some nice Chilean red) but the next day just looked stupid. Funny how a bit of al-Kee-hawl can do that.
