B n B bound Strat
If anyone ever wanted to see what a blocks and biding, double bound body Strat would look like, here's your chance. I actually kinda dig it. From http://www.guitarsandeffects.com/

Re: B n B bound Strat
I just called. If he has it still, I want it.
It's a copy of a guitar Fender "may" have made in 1967. It exists, but their is a debate on whether it is a factory job.
There were namy weird things coming out of Fender then, and they did do a Zebrawood Tele and Mustang.
I'm a Coronado/Esquire guy, and this Strat has all 3 guitars in it!

Cool. I've bought stuff from him in the past and he's a straight up guy.

That's a good price on that... straight from Ishibashi it would cost you US$1176

It's on hold, he got a call 2 hours after listing it.
I told him that if it falls through, consider it sold to me.
I haven't gotten that "heavey heartbeat" about a Strat in a longgggggg time.

Re: B n B bound Strat
IIRC, there were certainly strat necks with dots and binding and I do recall seeing a pic of one. But more positive evidence is that there are JMs which have dots and binding necks with strat code numbers on them. So the argument goes is that some strat necks were manufactured but it was decided to keep strats without binding and those necks were just transfered to the JM production.
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

Re: B n B bound Strat
I like the neck, but a strat without contoured body it's horrible IMO..I definetely don't like bindings on strat..
To be honest I even don't like the finish..strat-->plain colors

That model has been available in Japan (Fender Jpn CS) for a few years. I have a few ads or a promo sheet around here somewhere!

Re: B n B bound Strat
As I said, being an Esquire guy (with a Custom), I am used to the squared-off edge. I love the layered binding here.
I have 3 '67 Coronados and always thought of putting a Coro neck on a Strat.
This guitar has it all.
I think I am hoping for a call/email that isn't going to come. :,-(
