Re: UNBELIEVABLE! (pawn shop find) L@@K!
That NEVER happens at either of my pawnshops. And I say mine because i work at two of them. balcks quiier strat black squier strat warlock warlock warlock warlock (ad nauseum)
There was that one 63 duo-sonic, but it wasn't worth much more than i paid for it.

I prefer their older stuff.

Here she is all cleaned up:
I don't know what the pickups are they used in these, but it sounds very full and sweet and lots of variance in tone between the switch positions.
I like it alot, but to tell the truth... for $5500? No way.
The one I built is nearly as nice, IMO. The sound is not as nice, but that could be fixed. The assembly and relicing is just as good (if I may say so myself). And mine is lighter...

For once, I'm lost for words. I'd say "you bastard" again if I didn't know you're actually a really nice guy

Oh, for sure, Doug. It'd go nicely with my wall full of Harry Connick Jr memorabilia

Nice one Doug!
I'm kind of surprised with the invention of ebay etc. that these pawn guys still let these slip through like this - especailly strats!
