Maple Neck jazzblaster Project Finished !!

Post by johnqui » Wed Oct 10, 2007 3:59 am

Okay here it is:

After 3 month of reflexion, i've finally decided to start my project.
This is gonna be something like this:

Image

From NOW I'll start collecting parts :
- A black body (already finished); I've just missed one from the stratosphere, I'm hoping for another one to come soon
- A telecaster Deluxe Neck; surely from the stratosphere during the next 10% sale
- Two WR pup
- A mint guard
- White witch hats
- AVRI tremolo
- A bridge
- All the electronic stuff
- Any tuners

I'll begin to buy minor parts when I have the body and the neck.
So if you find an interresting body to buy, just tell me please !

And feel free to comment the project, give advice, ask questions, and point me to the godd deals

This is gonna be a long project, I've all the time, and enough guitars to play :)

I really like the maple with the mint guard!  Go for it.  If I see any good deals, I'll certainly send you links!  8)

hmm hmm

Right now there's an Old Lake Placid Blue on the stratosphere:

It's not exactly the same blue on the eBay pictures. I wanted black, but suddenly I'm lost and tired of waiting the black one...
What do you think ?

Just for your info:
If you're going with a parted out Tele deluxe neck - It's drilled for the 70's RI Shaller F tuners and the shafts are bigger on those, so I'f you plan on Kluson style - you're gonna need some adapters. Just so you know....

An Allparts CBS headstock maple neck is drilled for Klusons though.
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

OK - I'm not so sure anymore - I THINK it is as above, but I'm on this issue in another thread.

With the maple neck & OLPB, it's pretty fresh.  Cool combo!

Mister, you have very good taste.  8)
It looks close to what I'll go for if I should have another JM (black + mint guard)...  ;)

Edit: I saw some Wide Range auctionned on eBay US recently. They started at 50$;  I think the auctions are not ended yet so if you hurry up...
Once you're lost in twilights's blue, you don't find your way. The way finds you...
