Who's got the gnarliest pool rout?  :'(

I had to take the guard off to fix a rattle (anyone else get those?  ;)) and It never fails to amaze me quite how spectacular this rout is. In it's defense it's all original and makes for a pretty unique sounding guitar.

Any more out there? Anyone had a nasty surprise when they've popped the hood?

All I know is they're the original stock '66 Klira single coils - I don't know if they outsourced them or shared manufacturing with any of the other German manufacturers of the time. No markings whatsoever.

Those look really similar to the pickups Guild used in the '60s on some of their lower-end models

Holy craparoni... I just noticed that every single damn thing installed into those control plates is totally different from stock! (Okay, so I'm slow. What of it!?)

What does the guitar look like all put together? Can you take us through what all those esoteric knobs and dials do?
