really, quite spectacular! :o

thanks for the thread.. it's put me off building a guitar from scratch (an i mean that as a compliment, considering the meticulous detail i don't have the patience or skills for!), but the colour is gorgeous. i'm hoping to get a montego black jagmaster and have been trying to find a guitar that i could check out for black on black with white JM pickups, and found this thread.. i think i'm going to have to go that route!

Thread update!

Here is the Buick II today.

Image

Big thanks to Mr Motorik (theworkoffire) who sent over one of his excellent decals, to get the right name on the headstock.
And to Mr Harvester who removed the old F decal, had to repaint the headstock, and applied the new decal. It turned into a big job, so thanks again Anthony ;D

Yesterday installed a Novak JM-180 pickup in the bridge, and wired the 180 into the rhythm circuit. Now this Buick be a raging beast, as well as a singing siren. I love this guitar :-*

Surprise update here... Looks great! Love the decal.

Ben is a genius, so much patience and precision in his builds. I just did a few repairs on the Buickmaster I yesterday (solder fixed a nick in the 12th fret, some wiring and switch repair) and strung and set it up again. I play this guitar everyday and am always in awe of how great it is, i really don't think I can beat it with anything else. I'd love to commission something similar in a thinline vein from him when he's building again, been a long-time dream.

Yeah rexter, it's a privilege to be able to play one of Ben's guitars regularly isn't it :w00t:

I really look forward to a new theworkoffire build thread, not just because they are amazing to follow, but also as it will mean that he's building again!
