(there is no MSRP anymore for Fender)
Right, so when someone from CME quotes a price in a private exchange, I would expect it to be under MAP? Unless they sell at full MAP, which maybe they can do with a 'rare' model like this one.

Wasn't there a dedicated thread about this recently? Lemme search a little.

We got people playing stringed instruments! It's the end of days.

pineder wrote:Thanks for reaching out, we're very excited about the new Sherwood JM. We have 5 coming, 2 have already been spoken for. The price is $1,749 and at this time we do not have an ETA, although I am working on getting more info from Fender. Let me know if its something you're interested in getting on order and we'll go from there. Thanks!
Above is what Chicago music stated regarding price and ETA
Well, now 4 have been spoken for. I called CME today for the info and they said that they are supposed to arrive sometime this month, any day now, and that 3 were pre-sold already. They confirmed that only 200 will be made in the Sherwood G, and are trying to order more, but may or may not be able to get more. I decided to put my Thurston JM on eBay and my Vox AC15 head/cab hand wired amp on craigs and preorder one of them today. That should make me feel better about getting another Johnny Marr Jag. I hope. I have a KO already, but I couldn't resist the magnetic attraction of Sherwood green. Can't wait.

Man, this guitar coming out in green is seriously bad news! I would gladly trade my KO for Sherwood...only reservation I had when I bought it two years ago. Wheels in my head are turning...not good...

I'm seriously considering selling my ECJM to get the Marr in Sherwood. Played an Olympic white yesterday and like the feel and sound more. Gear crossroads....

This is a limited run and there will be some available in the UK. The model is officially released in October and currently we don’t have any specifics on numbers as of yet as overall demand will dictate that number.
Received the above message from Fender today.

Anyone swap their pickguards on their KO model? I'd like to get an idea what it'd look like with tort, anodized, or mint guards.

I swear I saw a KO with spitfire tort on OSG. It looked beautiful as you'd expect.

I'd love to see it, I'm highly considering getting a spitfire tort.

Thanks for the info. This had me concerned since CME told me sometime in August. I paid for the full amount and was going to ask CME for my cheese back if I had to wait until October. All of my dealings with CME have been A+ and would be disappointed if this were the case. But I called and they said they received an email last week from Fender that it was coming within 30 days. The guy I spoke to today also said they presold all 5 already and that he had another 3 calls this morning on them as well. Sounds like there's demand, Fender. Wonder if that will dictate the production to be over 200. I also read somewhere that there could be other colors, that weren't limited, presumably to replace the KO and Oly White. I almost don't want to know.

I read yesterday (via Twitter) that Banana Music have
''1 of 50 Limited Edtion''....''Only 50 available...''
I think a few people are being 'a bit naughty' tbh

. It makes sense that they release the SG Jaguar in October to coincide with the release of Johnny's new album.
I'd wait too see an offical press release from Fender.

Wow. Wonder if it will have some kind of limited edition neck plate or something? Maybe a COA like the Thinskins came with? Hey Fender these unpopular colors seem to be quite popular after all! Now start painting those headstocks! Ha!
