I really think I'm starting to get obsessed with this guitar...if only I'd got the cash spare!

If anyone is looking for one, there have been 2 on Reverb and 1 on eBay for the last couple days.

Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
mine showed up today
was expecting to have to wait it out till Monday.
Unfortunately got picked up at Customs so my wallet was a few hundred lighter than I thought it was going to be last night...
Upon opening this beautiful thing my first thought was wow, totally different sherwood green to my avri 62 Jazzmaster.
The Jazzmaster is much much darker. Kinda happy about that, as I'm thinking of branching out and buying some more green guitars down the line and I'm not overly keen on having two of the exact same shade.
Having never played a Jaguar before I was curious how it'd feel. With strikingly small hands I feel like this neck will open up some new avenues, for sure. Sounds great!
Might see about lowering the bridge. Might swap the switch tip out. Not keen on the bright white tip on the tremolo bar. Prob prefer the sig to be on the back of the headstock, or perhaps an etching into the neck plate...
Will have to grab some pics of of this guitar next to the jazzy at some point over the weekend.

I had heard these were a different shade to a normal sherwood, guess this confirms it. Pictures to show the variance would be great.CastrosfriendChe wrote: Upon opening this beautiful thing my first thought was wow, totally different sherwood green to my avri 62 Jazzmaster.

+1 (pleaseandthankyou) I am excite! Haven't seen one in person, but the color looks all over the place in pics. I mean that in a good way...there were times when I thought Johnny had a black one, sometimes it looks "forest" green (like the AVRI's), sometimes it looks candy apple, sometimes it looks almost blue. Delicious!Kylef wrote:I had heard these were a different shade to a normal sherwood, guess this confirms it. Of course he does. I meant the black one with a white/parchment pickguard.

Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
Earlier in this thread, there was some question about just how linited the Sherwood Green colour is and
maybe the skeptics are right as Chicago Music Exchange announced today they are "getting a few more"
Just how many are being made? (In the USA to answer a question)

Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
Hmmmm. I think I like the darker AVRI sherwood better. I already have an ocean turquoise and lake placid blue jag so the Marr would be a bit too close to the same for me. The Marr looks more like vintage sherwood green which did have a more bluish element to it.
They are popping up on eBay and reverb so I have to believe the 200 number might be questionable.

I have to disagree and say I don't think it's questionable at all. I know there's a few that expect there to be more because they are selling, but that doesn't mean there is.gutter rock wrote: They are popping up on eBay and reverb so I have to believe the 200 number might be questionable.
There's a few people on this forum like myself that have been actively watching and looking for these guitars. The big retailers in the UK only got 3 sometimes 4 each. Andertons, guitar guitar etc. Youre looking at below 30. Add to that Thomann and a couple of other shops in Europe, and then all the US shops too when you think about it has there really been over 150? You can't really judge the ones on eBay either, these are selling as new from retailers who advertise their guitars on there aswell as their own website. How many of these guitars are on this forum now? 5 or 6?
In other news, I MIGHT be getting mine today
