So cool, congratulations, Yannis!!
With no clearcoat I think it should get into NC territory fairly quickly, especially if you start raking at the strings behind the bridge with random pieces of metal and gardening tools.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

Mind you, it already has so many battle scars...I actually remember quiet a few of them occurring on stages all over the place...it's kinda like a time machine with strings on.
And tort. It has nice tort.

Ha! I remember commenting many, many moons ago about how you looked like Mark Arm in that black & white pic. Still do!
Great to see you & the '61 back together. It's obviously has huge sentimental value.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Wow ... what a story. And great to see that it's found it's way home.
Happy boomerang NGD day!

There's literally hundreds of pics of me playing this onstage, so I will spare you all.
...
So there you have it...reunited after 5 years or so
So, er... I'm missing the bit about why exactly you sold it. Is it an embarrassing or painful story?

So amazing to see this!
First I had to blink a few times when I saw the thread title.
Then I though, "oh, cool...Yannis got another '61."
Then I when I saw what it was...BIG SMILES!!!
What a reunion! I'm beyond thrilled for you!

Thanks guys, I am on cloud 9 today!
The reason why I sold it in the first place was Les Paul GAS...basically after 14 years of playing Jags and Jazzmasters I had hit a brick wall and needed a change. I guess you can have too much of a good thing!
I still
love my '56 Les Paul, and I think the '61 JM will now compliment it

I still remember when you posted that you sold it and we were all like " "
We need new pr0n shots, btw. Maybe a Vintage Hotties post
rest assured there will not be another For Sale post
I will definitely give it a photoshoot...not sure when, as the weather is rather bad and cloudy at the moment.
If we get any sunshine I will be onto it with my camera
