How thick is the neck and what type of profile is it?
No digital calipers (so fail there) but its comparable to the av65 neck for thickness, but possibly rounder in profile. Thicker than an avri 62. I would 'WAG' them somewhere around .82-.84.
thanks for replying
I suspect it's thicker than .840. Thin skin jags were listed at .840. The Marr neck looks and feels a lot thicker than the thin skins Ive owned.

black is pretty underwhelming for a special edition Jaguar. Lake Placid blue with a matching headstock would be a killer limited edition.

Seriously! If you're gonna do black why not go for Charcoal Frost and make people give a shit?

I suspect that manufacturing to a price point is in play here. Black is easy and cheap. CFM is pretty much only a custom shop color at this point.

Agree, I would not be able to restrain myself from getting one...but I don't think he plays with a LPB model anymore, and he's not a fan of the matching headstock (which is a shame because it would look so good with the Metallic KO finish).

Johnny has a vintage lake placid blue Jaguar with matching headstock that apparently influenced quite a bit of his signature jag. It makes too much sense to do one in LPB. As we've seen with the "limited edition" Sherwood green model and resale value of blue thin skins etc, LPB would very likely be a big hit for Fender. There should be a online petition or campaign.

The black with tort looks great! I'm not a fan of matching headstocks, but having one in this model might help sales since, AFAIK, they haven't done an American black Jag with matching headstock since the 60s.

I can understand Fender doing a limited edition black, as that's what Johnny has been playing recently. He had his own made with one of his old Olympic White jags re sprayed black with black guard, Fender sent him a black with tort signature Jag a few months ago which the limited edition will be based on I'd imagine.

I kind of like the black with the black guard
Looks like the pickup selector switch is black too..
I guess he is trying to match his 63 Jag in the limited colour

Reminds me of Robert Smith's famous Bass VI. Very cool.

Is anyone aware of a Sherwood for sale in the US or UK? New or used.
