Post by Marquischacha » Thu Jan 17, 2008 1:00 pm

Just looking for spare/alternative bits for my old strat... will any knobs fit onto it? I like the chome knobs and the witchhats, but since i'm buying online i can't really tell if they'll fit

thanks

All knobs are not created equal.  You're going to have to make sure that they'll fit on the size and type of pot shaft that you're using.

oh mercy!  Marquischacha, your name makes me think your taste in music is stellar.

Regarding the knobs... they're not all the same, but most are described accurately as to their dimensions.  You can compare with your own pot-shafts and then... bingo.

That's how I came to be-ah
marquis cha-cha!

Thanks guys, I'm always a little wary of buying guitar bits online. My local guitar shop has gone way downhill recently so it looks like net buying is my only resort. I'll check out the strats pot-shafts and sort it out.

Thanks again  :D
