I've given up trying to see any sort of logic in recent Fender colours. For example the officially sonic blue Jagstang looks nothing like the 60s sonic blue to me, it looks very definitely daphne. I didn't think people were being snobbish so much as just goofing. Though, of course, Squiers do get unnecessary grief in general. I can say that my main guitar is a Squier Deluxe Strat from 2005.
