Filter-tron pickups

Sorry for this stupid question but are filter-tron pickups humbuckers?  :-[

yap, they are  :D +
but more "clear" sound... hard to describe....
(caution, there are some singlecoils looking similar to filtertrons)

They're humbuckers, but they have much less output than the standard PAF style 'buckers. In terms of loudness, they're closer to single coils than regular humbuckers. They're sweeter and twangier than PAF-style buckers. Less midrange - PAFs tend to have a big spike in the upper mids.

I'd be interested in putting those kind of pups in the Messblaster (I'll have to find her a new name tho..  :D).

Anybody tried some of the TV Jones different variation of this pup ?

You mean the toaster pups on Rics ?

I love the sound from them!
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?
