I've been guitar sitting the last couple months for my father. He has played music since he was a teenager; guitar, piano, bass...anything really. It comes natural to him. My grandmother had the same talent, but even more so.
As a youngster, some of my earliest memories include going to see dad's band perform. I'd get up on stage between their sets at the Lion's Club or wherever and I'd act a fool. Back then Dad always played a Stratocaster; one of the reissue '57 Strats from 1983. I guess I caught the music bug early and I've always appreciated the Strat.
Anyways, Dad retired a few years ago and gifted himself the following 1957 hardtail Stratocaster that I've had the pleasure of guitar sitting for the past few weeks:
The body date is 1-57. I'm not brave enough to fiddle with the neck. I'm returning the guitar soon, so I wanted to post a few pictures before the sad farewell.
