Firemist Gold - black or mint green guard
This is an old project that I haven't touched for years. All parts are AVRI with the exception of the body (Warmoth) and the knobs. It was an attempt at creating a Firemist Gold Jazzmaster.
Here in the Netherlands it is very hard to get the right colors. This was as close as I could get.
I am going to finish the project in the next couple of weeks and have one question remaining.
Should I use a black or a mint green guard?
I have attached pictures of the Jazzmaster with both guards below. Would like your opinion.
Actually I also have a spare tortoise (early sixties) but that is warped and needs to be straightened first.

I actually like the black. It reminds me of a 70s muscle car.
It is the scent of garlic that lingers on my chocolate fingers.

Love the black, and the contrast it provides with the white pickup covers.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Still a draw 3:3. So No clear winner yet.
I understand the muscle car reference, even if we don't see too many of them on the roads here in Holland. Possibly that's also why their influence on other goods, such as guitars, is somewhat limited.

Mint (or white/parchment), without question.
