That thing is GORGEOUS. The finish is stunning. This thread has got me lusting after a Zaftig so hard. I'm really intrigued by the Regals and that design is just the perfect mix of everything I'm after in a guitar.
How does it handle?? How does it compare to your other recent acquisitions?
Also, bonus points for catching the dog mid-yawn!

It's the best one, I wish I had just got a zaftig first. Although OSG might prefer the BMM guitar, after playing around with each one (I even recorded each to compare
) I would say that the gold foils are not really my thing. The build quality is great on all 3, really no significant differences besides the zaftig being hollow.
The zaftig's pickups are really nice, especially driven. I was able to mess around in a band scenario and it sounds HUGE through a cranked amp.

Man, that sounds great! Definitely doesn't help my desire to own one. Enjoy that thing, you lucky dog!

Not to be that guy but you are going to share the comparison clips for science, right?DesmondWafers wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 4:16 pmIt's the best one, I wish I had just got a zaftig first. No, son. It's Iowa.

Thanks!DesmondWafers wrote: ↑Sun Mar 25, 2018 6:40 pmHey, your blue zaftig is beautiful, too. I'd probably say that it looks even better than mine.
But no one's better than ol' fedor the pup.
I gotta get a photo of Big Blue with my pup, Jemma Simmons.

I like this dogs with guitars thing floating around here. I feel like that should be some kind of calendar.
The fact that someone like Jason Lollar or Curtis Novak hasn't already done a "Pups & Pups" series is a wasted opportunity if you ask me.

My first post at OSG! Just got this one last week:

I've been lurking through these forums researching Bilt guitars before ordering one, so it's only right i post it here.
Stellar guitar! Very impressed with Bilt.

That thing is a looker, Jesus. Can I ask - do you know what the dots are made out of? I love the stock binding feature but always think they’d look better with pearl dots. I’m sure they’d accommodate, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with pearl dots instead of the (I assume) plastic they use for inlays.

Ty
I assumed the dots were clay. Took a close look and they're definitely not the same white as the binding. I agree, pearl would look amazing! Get one.

That zaftig looks great. What's the wiring like on it? If I had one of those, it'd be cool to have the 3 way act like a normal JM with the rhythm circuit engaging the jag pickup.

Re: Bilt guitars??
The volume knob is a push/push for the middle pickup. The rhythm circuit puts the JM pickups together in series.
