yah sadly you cant read the stamp on it thou i dunno even the serial number is about imposible to read
they just said it was around that year

That' s worth pulling apart for sure.  Pot dates?  Body date?  The maple neck is interesting for sure!

That is a 22 fret neck, which wouldn't be a '64  ???. Plus there wasn't a maple cap option at that time. It has a skunk stripe and a plug at the top as well, which would point to a '50s model, with the exception of that extra fret. Have you ever had it off to see if it is maked at the heel with a brand or anything?

I don't know of any vintage Teles w/22 frets.  Hmm-I wasn't counting!  Good eye.  I think maple boards were made on rare occasions in '65 (memory might be fuzzy, but wasn't Buck Owens' sparkle Tele a 65?).  A mystery...

ive checked sadly the guts were replaced with pvc wiring a old big ass paper capasitor one scratched to hell pot and one thats slightly smaller then the other one that reads 82  and ive taken the neckoff but i the dates were so bad you couldnt read it looked penciled on kinda
