Sorry, I don't want to do international shipping, but might be open to it in the future...

He sold it on August 19th, in case you were inquiring about purchasing:

I don't have enough posts yet, and have refrained from post-blasting for access to the market. I appreciate the heads up though!!sunburster wrote: ↑Sun Aug 26, 2018 7:32 pmHe sold it on August 19th, in case you were inquiring about purchasing:

One of mine has a busted off claw / tooth.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Sat Aug 11, 2018 9:42 pmThe arm from my ‘66 Jag won’t fit in any of my AV tremolo-equipped guitars and none of the arms from those will fit in the ‘66 what am I not getting here?! I’d love to use the old arm on my jazzmasters and vice/verse on the jag. The new arms are all a tiny bit bigger and the coolers slightly more oval than the 66s perfectly round (looking) shape.mcjt wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2014 6:56 amyes, an AVRI arm will work fine. However the teeth (tabs) of the collet might be broken off. once you've removed the tailpiece, you could put the arm in, and try to tighten the tabs (f they'Re there) around it. some sort of clamp would be good. or needle nose pliers to GENTLY and UNIFORMLY press the tabs inwards onto the arm's shaft?schoolie wrote: By the way, do AVRI trem arms work in vintage trems? As I said, my AVRI tremolo bar just fell right in and didn't catch on the collett at all. I guess we'll need to open it up. More pictures and measurements when I disassemble it. Hopefully, it wasn't routed for brutal EMG toanz
good luck
(you can buy a new AVRI collet to install on a vintage tailpiece if necessary)
The older arms are one thing I actually care about because they’re longer and skinner and look cooler than the new ones where none of them have bends and just an ALMOST sort of VAGUE curve between the bend and arm tip. Sucks.
But the bar stays put.
Fairly sure that AVRI collets used to be compatible with old, Vintage arms.
I can't remember if it was one of mine or a friend's JM that needed a replacement collet but it all went back together OK
This was probably about 15 years ago though.
maybe longer?

I would have given it a good home and had it refinned by Dano. Since I missed it, I'm building a Jag using a 65 slab board mustang neck, kluson tuners I saw fit on the forum (to avoid overpaying and plastic), mastery bits, what looked like a very minimal relic (I hope!) mjt charcoal frost body (haven't received it yet) and still looking for the rest.. probably go av pickups to save a bit before going boutique later.

Thanks for that - now I know where the UK stuff has been hiding!dano wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2014 7:25 pmYou got check the auctions section. Proportionally there are way fewer auctions on Reverb than Ebay, but this is really where most of the best deals are lurking: https://reverb.com/?condition=used&list ... e=auctions" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;eurotrashed wrote:I spend half my day browsing reverb.
