So me and a friend did a cover of "I'm On Fire" a while ago. It was recorded on an old laptop with only the most basic equipment, and we were quite drunk, hence the sloppy playing and unfocused singing
That being said, i really enjoyed this one, it was a lot more fun than my usual method of fiddling with softsynths until i find something i like. I need a band!

I just found a date near my hometown due your link!

I like your cover, though. But i miss a climax. The song flows until it ends, but there's no real break out.

I completely agree. I tried a few different endings but nothing felt right.

I can't think of something either, but i'm a lousy composer.
I have my best moments and ideas when there's no guitar in reach...

nice!
maybe try some different chords on the bridge part ("someone took a knife...") ?
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

The first version had a second guitar strumming a bunch of 7th chords, but i felt that it took up too much sonic space. That's how i always record, make a big noisy mess and then remove everything but the essentials. Results may vary
